Hey fashionista’s I was invited to an awesome event about a week ago, and can I tell you I was so nervous. If you’re a faithful reader then we’re as good as family at this point :). This event resulted in a lot of first for me. Honestly, it was a be a bit overwhelming; not to mention, I got lost on the way to the event. But I’m proud to say I got to and through the event and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The event was held at the beautiful Club Haus. I’ve been dying to visit there and it just so happened that the event fit this venue perfectly. Everything was so beautiful from the time I walked in. I was welcomed with coffee from Common Grace Company (<—–link here), and the yummiest vegan and gluten free cupcakes I’ve ever tasted! I then attended a yoga class, and mingled afterwards. Now Lets be serious! I couldn’t pass up on yoga, I had never done it before, and I was really looking forward to it! But silly me, I ran into a problem. I thought yoga mats were going to be provided but guess what? They were not. 🙁 Regardless, I pushed through, and enjoyed every bit of yoga and all the relaxation it brings. However, when I got home, I was sore from pushing my muscles beyond what I normally do on a daily basis.
Once Yoga ended, we got a chance to mix and mingle with other people at the event, as well as take pictures in front of the back drop, and I never pass up a picture opportunity! There were also lots of vendors selling different products. I was most intrigued by the Marymai kombucha, which is locally produced in Michigan. I won’t lie it was very different for me, but the benefits for kombucha are out this world! They have many different flavors to chose from and their prices are very reasonable!
My favorite part of any event is when you get knowledge and insight from others that you can take home and apply to your life. When tickets were purchased for the event you were given a choice of 3 workshops. I chose the “build workshop” and I was not disappointed! The workshop was taught by Alex Jona of the Brand Barr . She spoke on creating content and being true to yourself. In her session, she gave us the keys on how to maximize your potential and build your brand! One thing that stood out to me was when she explained the concept of being the “Purple Cow” in your “field,” referencing the book, Purple Cow by Seth Godin.
This inspiring event was finished off with an amazing healthy lunch and closing speakers. The Positivity Charge, is a must attend event especially to those who have ambitious goals and dreams. Not only was I physically fed, but mentally fed as well. It allowed me to open myself up to new and exciting things!!
I want to thank The Positivity Charge for the invite and a great time!! 🙂
